Made possible with our partners
The impact achieved by our Tech Equity Miami designated projects and their respective funders is a testament to the power of collective impact, but community initiatives still face substantial challenges to realizing their full potential. First, as an evolving and growing ecosystem, the pool of funders is still very limited and the heads of social impact for large corporations not based in Miami. Second, we have many hyper local initiatives that have deep impact but difficulty gaining funding partially due to lack of visibility into their work. 63% of projects state the need for visibility and amplification support. Third, our ecosystem is still very fragmented, and 73% of projects indicated a desire to foster more strategic partnerships.
Together, these partnerships have laid the groundwork for a future where all Miami residents can thrive in a digital-first economy—and the work has only just begun. In the future, we will continue to
• Foster a business community invested in building this ecosystem,
• Increase the percentage of projects funded, and
• Increase the amount of TEM earmarked funding.
