Apprenticeship.Miami is a dynamic initiative dedicated to expanding the reach and impact of Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs) in Miami-Dade County, with a strong focus on empowering underserved communities. Building on the success of the Workforce.Miami initiative’s first phase, which launched a comprehensive job portal and strengthened key employer partnerships, Apprenticeship.Miami aims to create clear career pathways that lead to college credits, degrees, and high-wage jobs.
Apprenticeship.Miami aims to partner with local organizations, employers, and institutions to create a regional strategy for scaling apprenticeships. This includes convening key employers such as the South Florida Anchor Alliance, PortMiami, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Alto and Amazon, and prioritize high-demand occupations and target communities, with insights compiled into a Miami-Dade Regional Apprenticeship Strategy, shared with over 50,000 stakeholders.
Apprenticeship.Miami also includes monthly Apprenticeship Accelerator workshops that educate employers about the benefits of apprenticeships, help them implement successful programs, and provide support for accessing financial incentives and identifying candidates. Outreach campaigns will promote apprenticeship best practices and encourage more employers to engage in these workforce development opportunities. By providing hands-on learning, mentorship, and industry-specific training, Apprenticeship.Miami is creating pathways to career success, driving economic mobility, and empowering diverse talent across the region.
